Who can enrol for this insurance? PA RecoveryPlus is designed to meet the needs of every life stage – whether you are single, married, have children or are retired. We offer the option for you to add your spouse, your parents and even your parents-in-law under the same policy, saving you the hassle of having to apply and manage multiple policies. All insured persons must be a Singaporean, permanent resident or foreigner holding valid employment, work permit or long-term pass issued by the Singapore government. They must also reside in Singapore. There are 3 types of cover and age eligibility.

Would occupation affect the plan type that can be selected? Occupations under Group A are eligible for all 3 plans and optional covers. Occupations under Group B are only eligible for Silver plan, Gold plan and the optional cover for income protection for temporary disability. For more details on the occupations under Group A and Group B, please refer to the occupation category guide under Downloads. |

Can different insured persons be covered under different plan types? No, all insured persons must have the same plan type: Silver, Gold or Platinum. For Adult cover, if either the main insured person or spouse is under Group B occupation, both persons will only be eligible for Silver plan, Gold plan and the optional cover for income protection for temporary disability. For Child and Senior cover, the plan type offered would be the same as the persons insured under Adult cover. For example, if the persons under Adult cover are under Gold plan, then only Gold plan would be available for Child and Senior cover. For each plan type, there are different benefits and limits for Adult, Child and Senior. |

What does Home Nursing and Domestic Support Fund cover? This benefit provides up to $3,000 cash to fund any services that you require during recuperation such as nursing treatment at home, meal delivery, laundry service and hiring of temporary domestic help. It is payable when you are hospitalised for a minimum of 5 days. |

What are the types of expenses and activities covered under Section 19 - Fitness and Sports Membership Fees? Such expenses and activities covered include subscriptions or fees paid for usage of gym, sports or fitness facilities and may also include bookings for trainings, exercise and even dance classes for example, martial arts, golf, tennis, rock climbing, wakeboarding, yoga and Zumba. The benefit is payable if the activity falls within your hospitalisation or hospitalisation leave period, duration of which is at least 7 days and you are unable to receive any compensation for the fees you have paid for the sport or fitness activity. |

What does Petcare Allowance cover? The allowance allows you to arrange for professional petsitter service to take care of your pet during your hospitalisation. This benefit reimburses up to $40 per day for pet hotel or pet sitting services for up to 30 days of your hospitalisation. |

Is my child covered during National Service? PA RecoveryPlus covers your child only during their off-duty periods as National Serviceman. Off-duty periods are when your child has signed out from official duties, not present in any military, training or operational base and is not participating in any activities relating to National Service. |

The above examples are for illustration purposes only. For sections where we do not indicate any of the above, the sums insured for those sections are payable on a per insured person per accident basis. There is no limit to the number of accidents during one period of insurance. |

Am I covered if I travel overseas? PA RecoveryPlus shields you and your loved ones even when overseas. Our worldwide cover extends up to 182 continuous days outside of Singapore. The cover will cease from the 183rd day and will resume upon return to Singapore. Persons intending to stay overseas for more than 182 days must inform us in writing of any change in the country of residence, subject to our acceptance. |

Is terrorism covered? We cover for injuries suffered due to the act of terrorism and protect up to $500,000 per insured person and $2 million per policy for all insured persons, provided the act of terrorism does not involve the use of biological, chemical agents or nuclear devices. |

Does PA RecoveryPlus cover adventurous activities? PA RecoveryPlus covers leisure and non-competitive activities provided they are undertaken with a licensed operator and you followed all safety and health instructions, guidelines and regulations. These adventurous activities may include: a) zip-lining, zip-riding; b) sightseeing on hot-air balloon, helicopter, airplane; c) canoeing or white-water rafting with a qualified guide and up to Grade 3 (of International Scale of River Difficulty), helmet diving; d) scuba diving, up to the qualified depth of the insured person’s diving certification, and at all times accompanied by a qualified dive instructor or dive master and does not exceed depth of 30 metres; e) ice skating, tobogganing, sledging; snow tube sliding, dog sledding, snow rafting; skiing or snowboarding, snowmobiling provided these activities are not done in off-piste, ungroomed, unpatrolled areas or places not recommended for beginner to intermediate users; f) hiking or trekking up to 3,000m above sea level; g) rock climbing when harnessed and done on man-made walls. |

Are there any adventurous activities that are not covered? PA RecoveryPlus does not cover the following activities: a) flying or other aerial activities except travelling as a fare-paying passenger in a properly licensed commercial aircraft; b) rafting or canoeing involving white-water rapids, high diving or jumping, free diving, underwater activities involving artificial breathing apparatus; c) bungee jumping, skydiving, paragliding; d) winter sports, or any activities involving the use of a bobsleigh or skeleton; e) hunting, potholing, mountaineering that normally involves using ropes, rock climbing; f) speed or time trials, competitions, triathlon, ultra-marathon, sprints or racing of any kind; or g) extreme sports which involve speed, height, danger, a high level of physical exertion, highly specialised gear or special stunts. |

Are there occupations which are not covered? PA RecoveryPlus does not cover persons with the following occupations or occupational activities: a) any occupation in military, naval, air force, law enforcement, fire-fighting, civil defence or as armed security guard; b) professional sportsman, entertainers, motor vehicle racer; c) work onboard sea vessel or any offshore occupation such as diver, rig workers, fisherman or ship crew; d) work onboard aircraft or as air crew; e) shipyard worker, construction worker, demolition worker, quarry worker, work that is underground or in tunnels; f) work at height over 30 feet or work involving the use of scaffolding, gondolas, climbing that requires the use of guides or ropes; or g) any occupation dealing with explosives, poisonous or hazardous gases or substances. |
